Giclée printing has become highly regarded by many of the world’s best traditional medium and photographic and fine artists, collectors, galleries, and museums. It combines digital printers with traditional archival fine art print media and provides the artist with creative opportunities previously unavailable.

Giclée prints are produced one at a time on an as-needed basis with each print being exactly like the first, even if in different sizes. We have considerable experience with digitally processing images for color, brightness, contrast, and detail.

Giclée has become a term of printing confusion.  It seems everyone has their own idea of what it is.  Let’s look at the original 1995 Webster dictionary definition: a technology by which high-quality prints are produced using an ink jet printer.  Leaves quite a bit of room for interpretation.

Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing’s interpretation of Giclée is:  Only on Archival quality media and using a pigment-based and contains minuscule colored particles held in suspension. Archival ink has a superior color tone and a longer lifespan than standard dye inks, often lasting 100 to 200 years.

Ink Jet ink is an oil based product often with a base of Soy Bean and is not meant to last.  So here at Jover we feel that any ink jet based product should not be called Giclée.

Gallery Wrap Elite

Most Gallery Wraps are Canvas stretched fabric over a frame, causing the Canvas to sag after several years requiring the need to re-stretch the canvas and distorting the image.  We at Jover Photo and Fine Are use a method of permanently affixing the media to an acid free foam core board which has a life expectancy of longer than 100 years. We also are not limited to the traditional Canvas allowing us offer the Gallery Wrap Plus using Fine Art Papers and Giclée printing as described above.

A twist on the borderless concept, the image extends around the edge of the box mount. This works great if you have        enough room on the edges of your image, but if you don’t when viewed from the front, it will look as if the image were    cropped too much. In this case we have several options: Leave the edges white, print a solid color on the edge, or clone the background to make the edges wider.

Glass printing is the capability to replicate any digital image onto glass permanently. This means that you can easily customize a space in a functional way, where you can produce an illustration, a texture imitation, geometric & abstract patterns and even photography on a panel of glass that can be easily installed.

Glass prints have numerous benefits – they’re more vibrant, easier to clean, more durable (resistant to moisture and protected from UV), and they even prevent colors from fading. Upload photos from your phone or computer to order great-looking prints with no sharp corners to decorate your walls.

Artwork can be difficult to price.  You spend tremendous hours painting and would like to receive a fair price for your one-of-a-kind.  Unfortunately, many people cannot afford the pricing you deserve for your efforts.

Here at Jover we only use top of the line equipment to digitize and color match your artwork assuring everything is reproduced by full frame photography of the highest standard used by museums around the world.

We also offer “order on demand” printing alleviating the need to print multiples of a piece of art in a show.  With your own logon you can order for your client online and we will print, mount and deliver with your logo and name.

Your print is mounted to heavy duty 1/4″ black archival foam core board which will not warp. If you do not want the sides of the board to show, we can wrap the print around the sides for any of our print media.  Flat Mounts that are printed on Fine Art Papers are also categorized as a Giclée print as described above.

Jover only uses Fine Art Paper for our Greeting Cards making every card a Giclée print, which many are kept and framed , according to our clients.

It is difficult to describe this product as we have quite a bit of fun with it as do the artists that digitize their works with us.  We can make any photo or painting into a celebratory card or a simple “How are You Doing”, card that is completely a one of a kind card.  We work with you so that you have the cards that you want and not what you feel that you settle on.

Shou Sugi Ban is an ancient Japanese process of preserving wood for centuries.  The process is a burning of wood then burnishing plus adding all natural oils.  This guarantees the extended life expectancy of the frame.  Here at Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing we have made Shou Shugi Ban frames for many years.
