It combines digital printers with traditional archival fine art print media and provides the artist with creative opportunities previously unavailable.

Giclée has become a term of printing confusion. It seems everyone has their own idea of what it is. Let’s look at the original 1995 Webster dictionary definition: a technology by which high-quality prints are produced using an ink jet printer. Leaves quite a bit of room for interpretation.
Jover Photo and Fine Art Printing’s interpretation of Giclée is: Only on Archival quality media and using a pigment-based and contains minuscule colored particles held in suspension. Archival ink has a superior color tone and a longer lifespan than standard dye inks, often lasting 100 to 200 years.
Ink Jet ink is an oil based product often with a base of Soy Bean and is not meant to last. So here at Jover we feel that any ink jet based product should not be called Giclée.
