Our museum-level digitizing process is designed to preserve artwork at the highest professional standard. Rather than relying on conventional scanning, we use advanced photographic capture to record true color, tonal depth, texture, and detail with remarkable accuracy. Depending on the size and complexity of the piece, we may combine up to 32 precisely captured images into one seamless master file.

Lighting held at a constant 5600 Kelvin, we create a controlled daylight-balanced environment that helps preserve the true color of the original artwork. For our clients, this means cleaner color accuracy, dependable consistency, and a final digital file that is better suited for archival capture and high-quality reproduction.

Color matching is a separate and highly detailed step in our process. After capture, the artwork is carefully evaluated in Photoshop, where individual colors, tonal areas, and subtle transitions can be isolated and refined independently to achieve the closest possible match to the original. This may involve extensive layer-based adjustments—sometimes dozens or even more than one hundred separate layers—to control specific hues, densities, and tonal relationships without compromising the integrity of the overall image. For the client, this means a final digital master that is not only high in resolution, but also exceptionally faithful in color, balance, and visual character.
